First step was founded in June 2004. By October we had a house arranged and children started to move in. Many of the children had already been cared for by Francess as they had nowhere to go. Some of us that started this organization got to know many of these children when we worked in Hastings during the course of two years. It was hard not to want to rectify the disparity so many street children were living under. Many of them which we got to know during our time there. The idea of starting a home for street children slowly took form until we decided to go ahead with the project.
